The Cultural Centers’ GRAD Center, located at the Cesar E. Chavez Center for Higher Education, is a resource center to help individuals interested in pursuing a post-baccalaureate degree. A variety of information on national universities recruiting underrepresented students in Masters and Doctoral degrees is available. Information for law school, medical school and graduate school entrance examinations, admissions, professional development and career preparation resources are also available.

Staff and Volunteer Opportunities

The APISC carries out the university’s mission of “learn by doing” by offering students the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills that are transferable to any work place. Opportunities for educational programming and customer services skills allow students to contribute to the success of the APISC and allow them to grow and explore their own leadership and professional development. Volunteers and interns may also work with the coordinator to develop special projects for internship and/or class credit.

Resource Library

The APISC Resource Library is free and open to the campus community. Asian and Pacific Islander related books and videos are available for classroom instruction, research, personal enrichment and education. Books are loaned out for one month and videos are due back after one week. Any student assistant or the coordinator of the center will be more than happy to assist you in locating a specific book or video. If we do not carry a specific book or video, please let us know and we will put it on our list of books to order for the future.  Please see below for a list of our books, journals and other reference materials.  You can come in to the APISC to browse our selection of audio and video resources.
