Assessments 

Assessments are excellent tools to identify your skills, your interests, work values, what motivates you, and how does your personality impact your work style.  The Career Center administers the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Strong Interest Inventory (SII).  There are also numerous FREE resources that students can use to self-assess.

What Can I Do With This Major- a convenient website that helps you connect majors with careers.               

California CareerZone is a spin-off of the New York CareerZone, a proven, successful career exploration and planning system designed especially for students. Jobseekers, educators, and counselors will also benefit from the wealth of information on 900 occupations from the Occupational Information Network (O*Net) database. 

Humanmetrics The Jung Typology Test, contains good interpretive materials for Myers Briggs types derived from their assessment.

     MYERS-BRIGGS TYPE INDICATOR (MBTI)

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment is the most widely used personality assessment in the world. It does not test your skills nor abilities.   The SII instrument is a powerful tool that can help you make satisfying decisions about your career and education.  Whether you are just starting out in your career, thinking about a change, or considering education options for career preparation, you can benefit from the wealth of information reflected in your Strong results.  Understanding your Strong Profile can help you identify a career focus and begin your career planning and exploration process.
