What is Building Bridges?           

Building Bridges is a group of professional staff within the Division of Student Affairs, who meet to discuss programming, collaboration and awareness.

Purpose of Building Bridges: 

  • Resource Management: To identify funding, extend current financial resources, identify staff and personnel assistance, share material resources, and maximize efficiencies.
  • Event Scheduling: To utilize available resources and networks to help with event scheduling. To be aware of major event conflicts and consult with colleagues.

  • Event Marketing: To mutually promote events to various member groups to increase awareness of our areas, partnerships, sponsorships, and expand potential audiences.

  • Networking and Collaboration: To network with individuals who are involved in programming and collaborate on related events. This is especially important given the number of transitions in personnel that occur each year.  

Groups or entities who are interested in organizing a program or event on campus are strongly encouraged to utilize the Programming Guidelines.
