ARCHES participants are eligible for free tutoring. Participants may
schedule up to two hours of tutoring per class, per week, each quarter.
Tutoring
request forms are available at the front desk in the ARCHES office. A
separate form must be filled out for each requested course.
Participants
are encouraged to submit tutoring requests as early as possible (after
registration or the first week of the quarter). This increases the
chances of a good tutoring schedule, and starts the quarter on a
positive note.
While it is ideal to submit the request early,
ARCHES will accept requests throughout the quarter. It is NEVER to late
to submit a request. The only limitation is tutor availability.
All
tutoring takes place in the ARCHES office (Building 1, Room 214) Monday
through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
ARCHES TUTORS
ARCHES
tutors are the only tutors on campus that receive in-depth training to
meet the specific needs of students with disabilities. All tutors are
required to attend a four-hour orientation training, and up to four
additional two hour training sessions each year. Tutors also receive
individual supervision
