Workshop #1: KNOWLEDGE IS POWER: UNDERSTANDING ADHD - January 15, 2013
This workshop is the jumping point of the series and lays the foundation for the rest of the workshops to follow. You'll learn the answers to the following questions: What causes ADHD? What goes wrong psychologically when I have ADHD? What are some strategies and tools to manage my ADHD?
Workshop #2: ADHD & MEDICATION - January 22, 2013
This workshop will address the following topics: Why should I consider medication? How do ADHD medications work? What are my medication options? What are the side effects? How safe are they?
Workshop #3: RULES FOR MANAGING ADHD - January 29, 2013
Living with ADHD is much more manageable if you follow some tried and true "rules" and principles. You will learn about lifestyle factors that are key to getting a handle of your ADHD.
Workshop #4: BECOMING A MASTER STUDENT WITH ADHD - February 5, 2013
Having ADHD does NOT mean you can't be a successful student. This workshop will teach you the skills and strategies that high-achieving students with ADHD know and practice.
Workshop #5: GET A GRIP: MANAGING UNMANAGEABLE EMOTIONS WHEN YOU HAVE ADHD - February 12, 2013
If you often ask yourself, "Why am I ALWAYS stressed out," then you will want to come to this workshop. Learn stress management strategies that really work and how to control your emotions rather than letting your emotions control you.
