 Information about Summer 2008 Financial Aid
Additional summer funding is available to eligible, continuing, Cal Poly Pomona students who were awarded financial aid for the 2007-2008 year.
Undergraduate Students:
Additional grants, federal work study (by employer request only) and loans may be available to qualified undergraduate students based on their total aid received to date for the 2007-2008 academic year and the availability of funds. To be eligible for summer aid, an undergraduate student must:
- be enrolled at least half-time (6 units or more) for summer 2008
- have financial need
- meet Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements
- have a cumulative 3.0 GPA at the end of winter 2008 quarter
- enrolled full time during the spring 2008 quarter
- have 185 units or less as of winter 2008 quarter
- have an EFC equal to or less than 1000
Loans and Pell Grants funds are available to students who qualify and have remaining eligibility, even if you don’t meet the criteria listed above.
Graduate Students:
Stafford Subsidized and Unsubsidized loans may be available to Graduate students if their total loan to date has not exceeded the loan limit for the 2007-08 year. To be eligible, a graduate student must:
Financial Aid Award notifications will be emailed to your Cal Poly Pomona account by May 16, 2008.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE SUMMER AID PROCESS
· The GPA used when calculating Satisfactory Academic Progress is your Cal Poly Pomona GPA which includes only units taken at Cal Poly Pomona.
· The financial aid awarded to you for the summer 2008 quarter requires that you be enrolled in 6 or more units at our campus.
Additional Information: The financial aid awarded to you for summer 2008 does not have an impact on the aid you received for the 2007-2008 academic year nor will it have any affect on the aid you receive for the 2008-2009 academic year. These funds are in addition to your current award.
