The following is a list of no-cost or low-cost legal assistance agencies for the counties surrounding Cal Poly Pomona. This information comes from two websites. They go as follows: Legal Aid Society of Orange County, and FindLaw. These addresses should be used for more information, or to learn about counties not listed in these directories. This information is current as of June, 2008.
Cal Poly Pomona has no relationship with any of these agencies and provided this list only as a directory of potential sources for legal assistance. Interested parties should consider referring to their local telephone directory or performing their own web search for other possibilities. In most instances, people of low or limited income who are charged with a crime will be provided defense counsel through the county Public Defender’s office, whose location and telephone number is generally in the local directory under “District Attorney” or “District Courts”. You may also want to go online to California Courts Self-Help Center for information regarding self help in legal matters.
