University Police Hours & Location

Our Office Hours

Police Officers and Dispatchers are on duty 24 hours a day.

Our normal office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm except for State Closure Dates.  Due to budget cuts to the California State University system, Cal Poly Pomona will observe 24 scheduled state closure dates beginning August 2009 and running through June 2010.  Click here to view the closure dates for the 2009-10 academic year. 

Our Office Location

University Police is located in building 109. The building is connected to the southeast corner of the parking structure. The entrance is located off Cypress Lane. There are several 30 minute parking spaces located directly in front of the building as well as permit parking and service vehicle parking.

From the 10 Freeway
Exit Kellogg Dr. Cal Poly Pomona
Turn onto Kellogg Dr. (Right if eastbound, Left if westbound)
Veer to the Right onto University Dr. (At the Campus Marquis)
Turn Left - Magnolia Ln. (first small street on the left) 
Building 109 Police/Parking Service on the right
USE the 15 MINUTE PARKING ONLY  - unless valid permit is displayed

From 57/Temple Ave
Turn onto Temple Ave (Right if Southbound, Left if Northbound)
Turn Right - South Campus Dr. (at the Campus Marquis)
Turn Left - Kellogg Dr. (first signal)
Turn Left at University Dr. (2nd stop sign)
Turn Left - Magnolia Ln. (first small street on the left) 
Building 109 Police/Parking Service on the right
USE the 15 MINUTE PARKING ONLY - unless valid permit is displayed

BY SHUTTLE:

Board the Bronco Express Shuttle A. Shuttle A travels in one direction around campus and will stop on Red Gum Lane in front of building 91 before continuing on Red Gum Lane and from here it is a short walk East on Magnolia Lane to the University Police Building. Board the Bronco Express Shuttle B. Shuttle B travels in both directions on University Drive, Red Gum Lane, and Eucalptus Lane. Shuttle B will stop on both sides of Red Gum Lane either before turning left on to University Drive or continuing on Red Gum Lane. From here it is also a short walk East on Magnolia Lane to the University Police Building. 

BY CAR:

There are several 30 minute parking spaces (no permit required) located directly in front of the building as well as permit parking and service vehicle parking.  If you are a visitor to campus, please stop by the Parking & Information Booth located just off Kellogg Drive to receive parking directions. Unless directed otherwise, parking is generally available in Lots F2-F10 or the Parking Structure. You can also visit any yellow parking permit dispenser to receive a day parking permit. Metered parking is available along the loop in front of the CLA building that travels around Voorhis Alumni Park.

BY BICYCLE:

There are no bike racks located around building 109.

Driving Directions to Cal Poly Pomona

From Los Angeles:

Take the 10 freeway EAST and exit at Kellogg Drive.  The ramp will transition on to Kellogg Drive.  You should be on the left side of the large electronic marquee that welcomes visitors. Follow Kellogg Drive and after the stop light turn right when you see the Visitor Parking Booth.

From Orange County:

Take the 57 freeway NORTH to Temple Avenue and exit north (left-hand turn) to the campus.  Temple will go down the hill. Stay on Temple until the large electronic marquee that welcomes visitors at South Campus Drive.  Turn right on South Campus Drive, left on Kellogg Drive, and turn left when you see the Visitor Parking Booth.

From The Inland Empire:

Take the 10 freeway WEST and exit at Kellogg Drive.  Stay in your left lane, you should be on the left side of the large electronic marquee that welcomes visitors.  Follow Kellogg Drive and after the stop light turn right when you see the Visitor Parking Booth.

From the Pasadena area:

Take the 210 freeway EAST to 57 Freeway SOUTH. Exit on Temple Avenue and turn north (right-hand turn) to the campus.  Temple will go down the hill. Stay on Temple until the large electronic marquee that welcomes visitors at South Campus Drive.  Turn right on South Campus Drive, left on Kellogg Drive, and turn left when you see the Visitor Parking Booth.
