Coordinator's Message

Welcome to Cal Poly Pomona's Renaissance Scholars website! I'm so excited you are visiting us and want to personally thank you for taking a few moments to explore our site and hope you will find what you are looking for.  

From its inception, the Renaissance Scholars program has had a tremendous impact on the lives of former foster youth throughout the state of California. The cornerstone of Renaissance Scholars is our commitment to the success of our students. We are proud that Cal Poly Pomona has become a destination for talented former foster youth who value a quality education. We are very fortunate to have the support of President Michael Ortiz and the Cal Poly Pomona community in contributing to the growth and success of our program. Together, we do our best to ensure our Scholars build a foundation for the future.

As a former foster youth and graduate of Cal Poly Pomona's Renaissance Scholars program, I know how overwhelming the thought of getting into college can be, let alone trying to figure out how you're going to make it through to graduation. Let me reassure you that with the right support ANYTHING is possible! Renaissance Scholars is here to help YOU through your journey at Cal Poly Pomona!
