As you know, SAITS has been working on a number of initiatives related to SAN, backup, PC Inventory and our move to Building 91. The following is an update on the status of these projects... 		 
 
DSA Website Accessibility (Alt-Tags)
According to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 - § 1194.22 (a) A text equivalent for every non-text element shall be provided (e.g., via "alt", "longdesc", or in element content). An alt-tag is text that you provide to describe the contents of any graphic or picture on a web page. Providing Alt-Tags for images is easy. To provide Alt-tags for a picture, open up a page for editing and follow the steps noted in RED below. 		 
 
Outlook Scan Mail Error
A recent version upgrade of our McAfee VirusScan product to version 8.5 has been causing problems for some users when they open Outlook. The problem will appear with the following error message. 		 
 
Windows Defender Error
Microsoft recently expired support for the version of Windows Defender that SAITS was loading on all divisional PCs. (Windows Defender is a fee program from Microsoft that is intended to protect your PC from spyware.)
