General Flu Vaccine Information:

Student Health Services receives a limited supply of flu vaccine each year. Provided there are no issues impacting availability, flu vaccine clinics are normally held during Fall quarter (October, November and December) each year, by appointment, for CPP students only.

When clinic schedules are established during Fall Quarter, an email will be sent to all CPP students to inform about the dates and how to schedule an appointment.

There is no cost to students who are considered to be at high risk, as defined below by the Los Angeles County Health Department, if they have:

  • chronic heart or lung diseases
  • kidney disease
  • cystic fibrosis
  • diabetes
  • anemia
  • severe asthma
  • cancer
  • AIDS
  • immunological disorders
  • on long-term aspirin therapy
  • or for whom a flu infection would pose a considerable health risk

Students at high risk should make an appointment with a Student Health Services physician who will make sure that the Health Center reserves an appointment for their injection.

For other students who wish to be vaccinated and who are not considered to be at high risk, the charge for the flu vaccine is $5.00 (cost subject to change). Note: During vaccine shortage conditions, supply is limited to high risk patients only.
