Medical Services

As a Cal Poly Pomona student, you pre-pay a quarterly health fee (currently $45.00) at the time of registration, entitling you to no-cost, basic services for the treatment of illnesses, injuries or other common health-related issues, such as:

Colds,
flu, headache, sore throat, cuts & bruises, abdominal pain, upper respiratory infections, well patient physical exams, annual pelvic exams, minor surgery, health education, and much more!

Unlimited visits with medical doctors, nurse practitioners, and health educators are scheduled on an outpatient basis. Emphasis is placed on preventive medical and health education programs. We recommend you call to make an appointment (909-869-4000) to minimize your wait. Our Urgent Care department is available for more sudden illnesses or injuries.

Routine laboratory tests and X-rays are also included at no additional charge. Our on-site pharmacy provides prescriptions and common drug store items, sold at our cost. Appointments can also be scheduled with health educators to discuss family planning and birth control options, nutrition consults, smoking cessation, weight management and exercise programs.

Although we provide a broad range of services on campus, all students are strongly encouraged to carry outside insurance coverage for situations or issues not covered by our services. On occasion, we may need to refer you to an outside health facility if we cannot adequately address your needs.

Non-CPP students (faculty, staff, visitors, etc.) are also entitled to limited care
