OPERATION: Wellness
Our new outreach program, "OPERATION: Wellness," is designed for student groups or organizations, faculty, and staff. We will come to your class, your meeting, or residence hall to do presentations on a variety of health topics. Delivered by staff or peer Health Educators, our goal is to increase awareness of health issues by delivering informative, interactive, and engaging presentations.
TOPICS COVERED
Nutrition: The Food Guide Pyramid, fad diets, and tips on how to increase healthy eating behaviors
Exercise: Information on physical activity including recommended exercise routines, health benefits, and tips for improving physical fitness.
Stress: Provides students with the appropriate tools for coping with daily stressors. We will help students identify the stressors in their lives and teach various techniques for reducing stress.
Sexuality: Descriptions of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and ways for students to protect themselves against STIs and pregnancy.
If there is something specific you would like for us to focus on, let us know and we will try to accommodate your needs. Depending on staffing availability, we will accommodate your time frames given sufficient notification in advance.
