Checking In
Cal Poly Housing Check-in Day is Wednesday, September 24, 2008 from 10:00 am- 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
All residence halls are located on University Drive. You may enter University Drive from either the west (West Temple Avenue) or the east (10 Freeway exit/Kellogg Drive). Once you are on University Drive and are nearing the residence halls, you will be directed to available, short term parking. Parking for CRS Residents is at the entrance of the CRS facility.
Please report directly to the front desk of your assigned hall as indicated on your assignment letter. Resident Advisors (RA’s) will be located at each hall’s front desk. They will check you in, providing you with a Room Inventory form and keys to your room. Please be sure to complete and sign your room inventory form as this will indicate the condition of your room upon check in and will be used to assess damages at the end of your contract.
We highly recommend that you bring your own dolly or hand truck to facilitate moving your belongings.
If you are unable to check in on the date listed on your assignment letter, the front desk will be open Monday through Friday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm or you may check in on the weekend by paging the resident advisor on duty.

Please review these messages carefully as they are a primary source of communication between the Housing Office and the resident.
Parents can also stay informed. A copy of the Weekly Web Updates is placed on the Announcements Page, located at http://www.dsa.csupomona.edu/uhs/Announcements.asp . You may also check the Parent Page at http://www.dsa.csupomona.edu/uhs/parents.asp for pertinent housing information.

Going "Green"
The campus and University Housing Services is committed to adopting sustainable practices. As a member of the campus and local community, we ask that you partner with us in reducing waste and conserving energy and water.
Please help us reduce the amount of trash that is taken to landfills. Every room has a blue recycle bin to collect paper, glass, plastic, cartons and other recyclable materials. Recyclables may be deposited in the white metal recycling bins outside the building. After moving in, don’t forget to recycle those cardboard boxes!
Help us conserve energy - turn off computers, unplug unused electrical devices and turn off the lights when not in use or when you leave your room or are out for the day.
Help us conserve water - turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth and take shorter showers. This helps to save gallons of water per day per resident!
