UHS License Agreement Occupancy Period

A student may complete a Housing License Agreement and contract for the Summer Only, or for Summer-Spring, or Academic Year (Fall-Spring). To review the Terms and Conditions of your Student License Agreement, which is available online at: http://www.dsa.csupomona.edu/uhs/hla_terms_09-10.asp. Contact the Housing Office, building 59, if you have any questions or concerns.

Approval to Check-Out

The Student Housing License Agreement is for the academic year (Fall through Spring). To cancel your contract prior to the end of your agreement requires a review by University Housing Services.

Please review the 2009-2010 Student Housing License Agreement, which outlines the conditions that will be considered by University Housing Services for release. The agreement outlines that only those students who are graduating, withdrawing from Cal Poly Pomona, or getting married will be released from their contract. All other reasons may be considered and may require a meeting and review with a Housing representative. Please visit our website at http://www.dsa.csupomona.edu/uhs/hla_intro.asp to view the 2009-2010 License Agreement.

The period to request a cancellation for the Winter 2010 quarter begins October 16, 2009 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on November 10, 2009. To request a cancellation, residents must use the online form on the Housing StudentWeb page. Please use the link: https://housing.csupomona.edu/StudentWeb to access the StudentWeb.

Once you are approved, you will complete a Petition to Cancel and your copy will provide the documentation needed to check out properly.

Checking out WITHOUT approval is not considered a valid cancellation of your contract and you will continue to be held financially responsible for your agreement. Contact the Housing Office if you have any questions or concerns.

Two Ways to Check-Out

Depending on the time of year, these two options may be open to you. Always check with your Resident Advisor or Hall Coordinator to verify if both are available to you.

Cleaning Recommendations

After you check-out a staff member will enter your room to assess damages and cleanliness. Avoid a cleaning charge by using the following Guideline based on your community.

Damage Assessment

All residents are responsible for the configuration of the room/suite. Each resident is expected to clean and vacuum before checking out. Once you have checked-out, a housing staff member will enter your room and assess for damages and cleanliness. Damages and lost keys fees will be posted to your BroncoDirect account. Your security deposit will be applied to any charges. If the charge is more than the deposit, the balance will appear on your BroncoDirect account.

Facilities Damage Price Guide

Did your roommate move out?

If your roommate has moved out, it is important that you keep your belongings on your side of the room. The Housing Office maintains a waiting list throughout the year and will continue to fill spaces with new residents. The Facilities staff will need to enter your room to clean the vacant side in order for your new roommate to move in. If your personal belongings impede our facilities staff from cleaning the room, a labor charge will be imposed. Check-outs often occur at the end of the quarter. If you are leaving for the break period, please keep these points in mind – you may be receiving a new roommate during your absence.
