The James Bell Internship

The Bell Internship, established by the Vice President for Student Affairs to honor Dr. Bell's years of service to CPP, is designed to provide a student with broad exposure to the field of Student Affairs while developing critical organizational and leadership skills.
The James Bell Internship in Student Affairs was established by the Vice President for Student Affairs to honor Dr. Bell's years of service to Cal Poly Pomona. The recipient must be a Cal Poly Pomona, undergraduate or graduate student who will work a minimum of twenty hours per week within the Division of Student Affairs. In addition, the student chosen will receive a monthly stipend of $1,000. The James Bell Internship provides a unique opportunity to study and participate in the administration of Student Affairs from the policy level down to the workings of individual units. Occasionally multiple students will be selected as Bell Interns to work with the Associate Vice Presidents in the Division.

Criteria for Applicants:
- Current Juniors or Seniors or graduate student of Cal Poly Pomona
- Minimum GPA of 2.75 undergraduate, 3.5 graduate
- Ability to communicate well, both orally and in written form
- Experience in working with student organizations
- Ability to relate well with people
