John T. Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies
The John T. Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies (The Lyle Center) is an interdisciplinary university-based setting for education, demonstration and research in regenerative and sustainable systems. Students from all disciplines on campus can participate in courses and a community of up to 20 residents lives on the site working with regenerative systems as part of their daily lives. The term "regenerative" was chosen for the Lyle Center to emphasize the intention of the design to restore natural systems, not merely sustain them, while integrating the needs of the human community.
The design of the 16 acre site provides a living laboratory for faculty, students and visitors to study passive solar designed buildings, renewable energy capture, water recycling, nutrient cycling, food growing systems, aquaculture (fish production), native habitat and human communities. All of these systems have implications for human society.
Tours are led by residents, staff and faculty and arrangements must be made in advance. If you would like to make a reservation for a visit or tour, please call (909) 869-5155 or e-mail at crs@csupomona.edu.
Kellogg Arabian Horse Library
The W. K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Library is a collection of Arabian horse materials located at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. The Library attempts to collect and preserve all types of Arabian horse information whether in printed or non-printed format, and includes books, pamphlets, art work, brochures, newsletters, videotapes, magazines, newspapers, photographs, letters, manuscripts, and reports. The collection is intended to be used as a research facility by University students and personnel as well as interested persons outside the academic community.

Kellogg House Pomona
Before it became Kellogg House Pomona, the building was once Mr. Kellogg's west coast home. Having changed custody many times over the years, the history of the Kellogg estate, including its world-renowned Arabian horse stable, is as colorful as the man himself and he ultimately established the location of what would be the sixteenth campus in the California State University system: California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, or more commonly called Cal Poly Pomona. A meticulous restoration process has returned the grounds and interior decor to their original character.
The House is available for events, conferences and tours. For more information call (909) 869-2272.
