We are Here to Help

The Violence Prevention & Women's Resource Center provides free, confidential advocacy (crisis assistance) to Cal Poly Pomona students, staff and faculty members. The Violence Prevention & Women's Resource Center Staff are certified domestic violence and sexual assault counselors trained in providing crisis intervention.

Victims of intimate partner violence are entitled to the following rights:

  • Right to have an advocate present during all police interviews
  • Right to have an advocate present during all medical exams
  • Right to have an advocate present during all legal proceedings pertaining to the crime
  • Right to be informed of community resources
  • Right to confidentiality
